Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center

Event Date: Nov 4, 2026
Conversation about what games can teach founders about building products people genuinely want to use and keep using with Bing and Chloe Gordon.
November 4th, 11am PT
Drawing from the ideas behind Bing and Chloe Gordon’s new book, Everybody Wins, join legendary product leader and investor Bing Gordon and filmmaker and writer Chloe Gordon for an intergenerational conversation about what games can teach founders about building products people genuinely want to use and keep using.
From human motivation and customer engagement to community, belonging, retention, and the feeling of “winning,” Bing and Chloe will explore how founders can design products and experiences that connect more deeply with customers. They’ll also examine where AI can accelerate product development and where distinctly human insight, creativity, and empathy remain essential.
Founders will leave with a stronger understanding of how to move beyond building a functional product toward creating an experience that drives adoption, loyalty, and sustainable growth.
Key Takeaways:
- Design for human motivation, not just functionality. Understand what makes people engage, return, and care about a product.
- Build retention into the product experience. Learn how feedback, progress, reward, and a sense of accomplishment can strengthen customer loyalty.
- Create community around what you build. Explore how belonging and shared experience can turn customers into advocates.
- Move from product launch to product love. Understand how founders can use customer behavior and feedback to continually improve the experience after launch.
- Use AI without losing the human edge. Explore what AI can accelerate in product creation and what still depends on empathy, judgment, creativity, and culture.
- Build for long-term growth. Learn how strong product experiences can support better business models, deeper customer relationships, and more scalable companies.
Bing and Chloe Gordon
Bing Gordon is a video game man. He was the Chief Product Officer for Kleiner Perkins, a consultant to Amazon, and an advisor and mentor to dozens of gaming and social-tech start-ups. Before wading into the buttoned-up world of venture, Bing was co-founder, Chief Creative Officer, and long-time executive at Electronic Arts, from its founding in 1982 until his “retirement” in 2008. Bing was awarded the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences’ Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011. He has an MBA from Stanford and a BA from Yale. Bing’s favorite games of all time are World of Warcraft, The Sims, Diablo, Pogo, Civilization, and FarmVille.
Chloe Gordon is an LA-based director, writer, and documentarian who explores the intersections of technology, storytelling, and culture. Her career spans multiple media forms, including creating and writing Amazon’s first scripted comedy series for Twitch, Two Joysticks and a Couch, and working on 108 episodes of Saturday Night Live, which earned her a spot on Billboard’s 2015 TV Top Music Power Players List. Her portfolio spans narrative film, non-fiction and journalism, and the occasional viral article (I Worked For Fyre Festival. It Was Always Going to Be a Disaster). Chloe frequently collaborates with tech founders and investors to craft essays, investment theses, and narrative pieces for organizations including Y Combinator, Uptake, and Dwarfstar.
